OIS MAINFRAME

The OIS Mainframe is a large scale computing system that resides in the State of Delaware's Central processing location in Silver Lake Plaza.  The Dover OIS mainframe is an IBM 9672-R26 which has three Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) processors.  The 9672-R26 has a 219-MIPS (millions of instructions per second) capacity and a 2 GB (gigabyte) memory.

Several large, statewide applications exist to support agency service delivery programs and administrative activities.  These systems provide centralized functions and include systems used for Accounting, Payroll, Pensions, Motor Vehicles (Driver's Licenses, Registrations and Titles), Revenue (Corporate and Personal Taxes), Division of Corporations, State Police, Criminal Justice (DELJIS, CJIS, and JIC), Labor (ALEXIS), KIDS (FACTS), DNREC (TEP), and DHSS's applications among others.
